Exploring
Kingdom Principles

A Small Preview into a Broad Subject
This is only a small preview into a broad subject. There are other principles that are key to seeing the Kingdom come on earth as many of us desire. Deeper teaching and revelation are necessary to bring us to a place of understanding and transformation.

Seek first the Kingdom

Matthew 6:33: "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you."

We believe Jesus gave us this as a commandment and priority.  Most of us know this scripture, we might even pray it but what does it mean to seek the Kingdom?
To start, we must come to truth and see our ignorance. Once we see we know little to nothing, we ask God to reveal what the Kingdom is. As we begin to see, we can choose to align with God's Kingdom, His daily priorities and purposes.
Searching the scriptures and mediating on the Word will also bring light to us.
And, we set our hearts to obey the Holy Spirit as He leads. The Kingdom manifests as we yield to the Spirit.

Openness to the Spirit of Truth

John 8:32, "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

Many times, we are  blind to the reality of what of is hidden in our hearts, be it pride, bitterness, hatred, self-pity etc. however when we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit, He will reveal the truth or reality. When we see it as clearly as God does, we will be able to choose to forgive, break agreement etc. and be cleansed and set free. From our own experience, we can can assure you that no one arrives at a place where there no more work of the Spirit to be done. It is up to us to be open to the prompting and
the dealings of God at all times.

The Law of Love

John 13:34-35: " A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

God is love and if we believe in God, Love has to be No. 1 in our hearts and in our homes. However, most people grow up without this pure love in their homes, simply because God is not welcome and present.
This means we have many wounds that need to be healed and also judgements against others. To begin to be a vessel that brings the Kingdom to earth, we must commit love. As we commit, God will reveal the hidden issues and He will walk with us through the healing and deliverance we need.

Judgements

Matthew 7:1: "For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you."

Learning about the effects of unrighteous judgements changed our lives. Judging others in our heart causes a stony feeling inside and love cannot flow out of us.
Through unrighteous judgements, we also open the door in our lives to the same thing we have judged in another (see Romans 2).

Destroying our judgements is crucial for connection with God and to be a vessel ready to do His will. It also rids us of that stony feeling in our hearts towards others.

The Law of Mercy

Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

We can be quick to go to God for mercy when we need it. We can know and receive great mercy from God but in the same way we freely receive mercy, we are to give it.

God is rich is mercy. God's mercy endures forever. God abundantly pardons. As His children, we have the same nature within Christ in us. As we yield and experience the depths of God's mercy, may we remember that others are no different to us and we can forgive all as God has forgiven all. The danger is when we choose not to forgive then neither will we be forgiven.

The Mind of Christ

2 Cor. 10:5: casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedient of Christ.

One of the most debilitating issues we encounter in people is INTROSPECTION. It is an over analysis on the inside that stops us functioning in daily life as it brings us out of reality.

As children of God, we have been given the mind of Christ which is a whole, sound, healthy, clear mind at peace. The mind of Christ is never focused on self.
We have seen God bring victory in this area for ourselves and others as we testify and teach on taking our thoughts captive and choosing to behold Christ.

Oneness with Father God

2 Cor. 5:20: Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you, on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

Christ is the gate or door. He said, no one comes to the Father except through Him. He has provided a way through to a deeper place: the Father. Many believers stop short of knowing the Father, mainly because their earthly father caused much hurt and pain to them. As we receive truth and get healing, we can begin to see that God our Father is different to our earthly fathers. We can choose to go in to the Father and be reconciled to Him. Father God is our true Home, our Safety and Refuge. He desires a relationship with us, to enjoy us and for us to enjoy Him.

Priorities

Jesus commanded us, seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness...here is a set of priorities. When we are asking the Lord to lead us and bringing the Kingdom to earth is important to us, we will have a sense of priority in the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will give us the leading so we know what comes first, second, etc.

If we desire to fulfil our purpose in every day life then we must know what the priorities are. This might involve much change in our lifestyle but if the Kingdom is our priority then God will give us the strength to let go of what is not required. There have been times I have had a conviction to let go of what I was busy with. When I did, it made life easier and I could focus on what was needed instead. He will order our steps and we will be able to experience His peace, His presence and stay deeply connected to Him.
